Event Details

NEW at Walking Ibiza: Be Mindful Walks bring together the popular practice of Mindfulness with the activity of Walking, creating an enjoyable experience of awareness with a focused mind whilst being in the present moment without judgement and walking in beautiful nature.

During the 2.5 hours of Mindful Walking Belinda M Clarke will also lead you through a variety of guided meditations, moments of silence, elemental and sensory awareness. The health benefits of this combined practice range from stress, pain and anxiety relief through to improved sleep, fitness and better life satisfaction.

The element will be Earth this week so lots of connection with the cave, the original place of worship for the Goddess Tanit.  Ibiza has the wonderful red Earth worshiped by the Phoenicians as they believed it kept way serpents and evil spirits, the reason why Ibiza has nothing native and wild that can kill a human?  Some barefoot walking will be undertaken to ground and Earth you to mother nature.

Meeting at the beach in Cala San Vicente we will drive a few minutes to our starting point. Leaving the cars we will head up along the ancient pilgrims path, passing an old stone water trough, traditionally used for cleansing purposes before visiting the shrine of Tanit, goddess of fertility and Ibiza. We will pause at Tanit’s shrine for a few minutes to make our own offerings and enjoy a short guided meditation before climbing the stept to head back to the parking spot.

RATING: MEDIUM
This is a medium short walk on good small dirt roads and paths, some with loose stones underfoot and one steep uphill section to Tanit’s Cave on small narrow rocky paths for about 20 mins. We take this section slowly and are there to help! The walk is 3.5 kms and takes approx 2.5 hours with a short stop at the cave.
