Wednesdays are PURE Special - Balafia with Brunch at Can Quince - 10.00h

On this week’s very special Wednesdays are PURE walk we will visit the ancient Moorish settlement of Balafia with Toby, before having a fantastic brunch at the wonderful Can Quince de Balafia hotel.

Can Quince is opening its doors to us to explore this ancient house, which is now an agrotourismo hotel.  The ancient tower, olive press and flower mill which are all fully restored will be able to be seen and explored.  Along with wonderful food, mostly locally sourced we will enjouy this paradise Brunch and expereince together.  There is also a pool if you feel like a swim.

Here is what will be available at the very very tasty brunch;

-Fresh fruit juice -seasonal fruit salad -Homemade granola -Yaourt -Croissant/baguette/Sourdough bread/Glutenfree bread/Wholemeal bread -Homemade jam/honey

Bowls -Houmous -cucumber -tomatoes -olives -herbs

Deli -charcuterie -Local cheese -smoked salmón -grilled bacon

Eggs from the farm served at table -Eggs florentine/benedict/royal -poached Eggs,smashed avocado ,tomatoes,sourdough toasted -scramble Eggs -Fried Eggs

Sweet -Brownie -creps -French taost -Sorbet

Café/thé/infusion/water/Bloody Mary

Extras not included Ibosim beer/Wine/cava/Ibiza Vedrà Kombucha

The settlement of Balafia is made up of seven original houses and two magnificent defence towers. With two important wells close by, an 18th century fortified church and cemetery, it promises to be an exceptional experience that will enhance your knowledge of the history of this beautiful island.

The brunch cost is €40 per person and is in addition to the cost of the walk.  You can book both the brunch and the walk, just the walk, or just the brunch!  Brunch will start between 11.30 & 12.00 and will last around 1-1.5 hours.  Further details about the brunch will be provided shortly……

Approx. 4 kms and about 1.5 hours on good paths with one short road section.

WHAT TO BRING:

Walking
-A small backpack so your hands are free
-At least 1.5 litres of water
-Some snacks to keep you going
-Good foot wear that has been worn in
-Sunblock if required
-Sun hat if required
-Swimming gear
-Light shower coat, just in case (in the winter months)

We have walking poles available to assist you if required.

e-Biking
-Everything in a backpack so your hands are free
-Good trainers suitable for biking
-Gloves suitable for biking if you have them
-1.5 litres of water per person
-Sunglasses
-Light wind stop / shower coat

DOGS:
If you have a lovely well trained dog which is also socialized please bring them along. They will need to be on a lead on the roads & some of the beaches.

INSURANCE:
We have liability insurance, but do not have medical insurance – this is your responsibility.

GUIDES:
All our guides are trained and have the ability to lead groups, they all carry a first aid kit and use walkie talkies to keep in contact with a back marker to make sure the group stays together and are safe. We also have strict departure and return procedure to ensure everyone is accounted for.

The trip and your safety is your responsibility and you must ensure you are covered for this prior to coming on the walk.
