Event Details
With the origonal Short and sweet guide Sheila being in hospital still after a fall we are very pleased to have our other wonderful guides leading these walks, this week the great Ankhana will be guiding.
We start this Short & Sweet walk in the small picturesque village of San Carlos in the north of the island. Here you can find the legendary Anita’s Bar, made famous by the hippies, artists, musicians and writers who used to frequent it in the 1960s and ’70s, many escaping political situations in their home countries for a simple community way of life. The bar is as popular today as it was then!
But what lies behind this delightful village? Ankhana will take you first to visit a newly refurbished 17th century farmhouse/museum before embarking on a beautiful circular countryside walk to discover the old and historic Ibiza. Walking through fresh pine scented forests with magnificent distant sea views, stumbling across old lime ovens, ancient ruins and much more!
