Event Details
After driving together from the church of Sant Mateau, we start the walk at Cala d´Albarca with a loop through the countryside, walking on red soil between green fields, hopefully under a blue sky!
After reaching a breathtaking viewpoint, with our guide Etienne we will follow a path down the far right side of Cala d´Albarca: for this part, you need to be surefooted and not have a fear of heights!!
Above us we see huge stoneheads in the cliffside that remind us of the Easter Island stoneheads, and the narrow path is secured/held by enormous sabina trees. It will lead us to a terrace with a big mysterious ruin. From here, we descend even further to find hidden in the forest the most peculiar stone huts! Back at the big ruin we have a break before heading up to enjoy the views at a lookout where we sometimes see dolphins, then looping back to the parking.
