sun17feb11:00 amsun3:00 pmSUNDAY SOCIAL WALK - THE SILVER MINES - 11.00H

Event Details

Yes you heard right, there are mines on Ibiza. Our guide Patrick leads the walk and will show you the ancient silver mines which have been mined for 1000`s of years and were only finally abandoned in the 1950`s.

We visit the very ancient Phoenician mines and also the more modern deep shaft mines where you can peer down the deep shafts. Its a strange site which used to employ 100`s of people in terrible conditions deep underground, the above ground buildings with chimneys are still standing. The area around the mines is wonderful woodland which we will be walking though and enjoying.

Total 12km´s. only a few short hills, some loose stones underfoot at times. Will take about 4 hours for the walk

INSURANCE: We have liability insurance, but do not have medical insurance – this is your responsibility.

GUIDES: All our guides are trained and have the ability to lead groups, they all carry a first aid kit and use walkie talkies to keep in contact with a back marker to make sure the group stays together and are safe. We also have strict departure and return procedure to ensure everyone is accounted for.

The trip and your safety is your responsibility and you must ensure you are covered for this prior to coming on the walk.
