Wednesdays are Pure – Tanit´s Shrine (San Vicente) 10.00h

September´s birthday event was so successful that we´ve decided to do it on the first Wednesday of every month!  Join us for this wonderful walk, along with music, storytelling & some singing.  Bring your drum if you´d like to join in!

Begin your Pilgrimage to the Goddess of Ibiza, Tanit, when you leave your front door.  Together with our Founder, Toby, we will meet at the bottom of the pilgrim´s path, which we will walk together to find the Shrine where for centuries people have been bringing gifts and offerings and asking for protection.  You are welcome to bring an offering if you´d like!

Upon arriving at the Shrine you will be cleansed with sage, then the celebrations begin with drumming, singing, meditation and hearing the stories of this sacred location.

RATING: EASY
2.5 hours for the total event
The walk to the shrine is very short (less than 1km), but totally uphill, made up of steps cut into the hill.

WHAT TO BRING:

Walking
-A small backpack so your hands are free
-At least 1.5 litres of water
-Some snacks to keep you going
-Good foot wear that has been worn in
-Sunblock if required
-Sun hat if required
-Swimming gear
-Light shower coat, just in case (in the winter months)

We have walking poles available to assist you if required. (advise if you need them)

DOGS:
If you have a lovely well trained dog which is also socialized please bring them along. They will need to be on a lead on the roads & some of the beaches.

INSURANCE:
We have liability insurance, but do not have medical insurance – this is your responsibility.

GUIDES:
All our guides are trained and have the ability to lead groups, they all carry a first aid kit and use walkie talkies to keep in contact with a back marker to make sure the group stays together and are safe. We also have strict departure and return procedure to ensure everyone is accounted for.

The trip and your safety is your responsibility and you must ensure you are covered for this prior to coming on the walk.
