Have you looked up at the night sky and wondered what all the twinkling lights are, why are they there, how far away they are? This walk with our astronomer star lady Etienne will answer your questions and make you understand the night sky! After settling down at an elevated place right in the middle of cap Xarraca.
Etienne’s information about stars, planets, our galaxy and lightyears will enlighten you. On our “skywalk”, assisted by a laser pointer, we look at the autumn-square “Pegasus” high up in the east, where the very first exoplanet was found and is pointing to our closest neighbour galaxy “Andromeda”.
We expect to see shooting stars of the meteor shower “Orionides”, caused by the leftovers of comet “Halley”.
So all together it will be one fascinating short walk and an enlightening look at the sky at night.
DATE & TIME: Thursday 28th October – 21.00h
