The focus of this week’s Short & Sweet walk led by Sheila, is the ancient Moorish settlement of Balafia, made up of seven original houses and two magnificent defence towers. With two important wells close by, an 18th century fortified church and cemetery, it promises to be an exceptional experience that will enhance your knowledge of the history of this beautiful island.
For a nice contrast we have added a NEW short loop to the walk, through a forest trail beside the church to delve deeper into the countryside behind the village.
The walk will start and finish in Sheila’s pretty garden where we will be able to enjoy a nice glass of wine at the end to complete the evening!
